The idea

When you are done living from the neck up.

Did you know overthinking is a stress response? We get stuck in our heads because we want more control, and the ironic thing is that it doesn't work that way. To solve more and perform better, we need to get out of our heads.

You don't have to give up thinking or going for results. Balance them with rest and whole-body awareness, and you get more of the results you want. In this mini programme you train your whole body awareness, so you can step out of the box your mind keeps you in.

Your body is more than something you carry to the office or behind your screen. It can be a tool for pleasure and joy, for more energy in what you do, and for better decisions.

It is also about stress and its effects, because stress is often how we leave our body. You have more control over that than you think. Our culture is very head-driven and doesn't help our body connection, and that makes it all the more worth stepping out of the victim role: you can influence this.

Life's too short to burn through your energy.

It builds on the method in my free e-book Your body at work. You don't need to have read it first.

If you have any questions up front, feel free to ask them. Get in touch.

I look forward to seeing you there.

How it works

Three sessions, two weeks.

The sessions build on each other: first the playing field, then experiencing it, then integrating it into your work. In between you practise for fifteen minutes a day, with exercise material I send you, so you always know what to do.

Session 1

Introduction

Wednesday 18 November

16:30 to 17:15 (Amsterdam time), online

We map the playing field: how a head-driven workday pulls you out of your body, and how much more control you have over it than you think. You leave with your first practices.

Session 2

Experience

Wednesday 25 November

16:30 to 17:15 (Amsterdam time), online

We go deeper into actually feeling it. You practise together, notice what changes in your body, and find what works for you.

Session 3

Integrate

Wednesday 2 December

16:30 to 17:15 (Amsterdam time), online

This last session I tailor to what helps you most: how to integrate this into your daily life, discovering what helps you make it stick and what you need for that.

Small and affordable, on purpose.

Everyone should be able to train their body awareness: to feel calmer, with more joy and energy in what you do, and to make better decisions. That is why I keep this programme affordable and within reach for all.

Places are limited, and that is on purpose. A small, intimate group lets me add as much value as possible for every participant.

Know someone who would also like this? It's extra valuable to do it together: between the sessions you can support each other and keep each other sharp. Share this page with a friend or colleague.

Reserving doesn't commit you yet. Your spot is confirmed once you've paid.

Questions

What people often want to know.

Who is this for?
Professionals who overthink, feel tense and want practical tools they can use at work. You don't need any experience with body-oriented work.
What do I need to take part?
A laptop or phone, a quiet spot for the live sessions, and fifteen minutes a day for the practice. The sessions are online and in English.
What if I can't make one of the live sessions?
From experience it works best to be there live: you are more engaged and focused, and the interaction with the group helps you integrate the insights. So I recommend reserving these times in your agenda and giving them priority. If you really can't make it, that is no problem. Every session is recorded, so you can watch the replay in your own time.
How do I sign up and pay?
Reserve your spot with the form. Reserving doesn't commit you yet: I'll get back to you personally with the details and a payment link, and your spot is confirmed once you've paid.
Can I cancel?
Reserving your spot doesn't commit you. Once you've paid, your place is confirmed and the payment is non-refundable. If something comes up, you can pass your spot on to a friend or colleague, and you'll receive the recordings of every session.
Is this coaching or therapy?
Coaching and practice, not therapy. If you are dealing with heavy complaints such as burn-out, the programme can work alongside professional support. Not sure whether it fits? Send me a message and we'll talk it through.
How is this different from 1:1 coaching?
The programme gives you a practical routine in a small group, at an accessible price. 1:1 coaching goes deeper into your own situation. Many people start with the programme. You can read more about the 1:1 options.
Can I claim it as an expense?
I would definitely suggest discussing it with your manager or organisation, because this programme has real benefits for how you approach your work and how you are in it. If they need anything from me for that, just let me know. If you work through your own company, you can often claim it as a business expense.
